Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Facility Data Manager SME to oversee and optimize facility-related data management processes. This role is critical to enhancing data-driven decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving operational efficiency across facilities. The Facility Data Manager SME will work closely with IT, facilities, and leadership teams to implement modern data governance strategies and support system integration efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for facility data management and related systems.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive data governance policies in line with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Oversee the use and optimization of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track assets, maintenance activities, and space utilization.
  • Ensure data integrity through audits, validation, and robust quality control procedures.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate facility data systems and improve enterprise-wide reporting.
  • Analyze facility data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Create dashboards and reports to support organizational decision-making.
  • Train facility and operations staff in data entry best practices and data reporting tools.
  • Utilize APIs and ETL processes to improve system interoperability and streamline data management.
  • Define, configure, and manage facility-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data management.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance data quality assurance and compliance frameworks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Facility Management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in facility data management or a similar capacity.
  • Proven experience with CMMS and other facility management tools.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, APIs, and data governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and industry standards related to facility management.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills; ability to train and support diverse teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Hands-on experience integrating facility management solutions with enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with modern ITSM and automation platforms is a plus.
