Sure Secure Solutions is looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to an exciting new opportunity at DHS CISA. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, transforming data into actionable insights that enhance our strategic objectives.
The candidate will also serve as a data engineer and work with a variety of data sources from multiple systems to extract data, transform, and unlock insights that solve the clients pain points. The candidate will create Tableau or Power BI dashboards and apply statistical methods such as regressions, decisions trees, and more to optimize models and provide data driven results. The candidate will operate in both a technical and non-technical capacity and be able to translate highly technical concepts into easy-to-understand business terminology for Customer.
Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
- Data Cleaning and Preparation: Clean and preprocess data from various sources to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Algorithm Analysis: Analyze and evaluate algorithms used for data ingestion to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Data Analysis: Identify, explore, and visualize patterns, trends, and relationships within large datasets using Python or R.
- Visualization and Analytics: Experience with data visualization and analytical tools such as PowerBI, PowerApps to create dashboards for senior management that integrate with SharePoint.
- AI/ML Implementation: Support the development and implementation of AI/ML models to extract deeper insights and drive predictive analytics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other CISA employees to communicate obstacles and findings to relevant stakeholders, enhancing business performance and decision-making.
- Technology Exploration: Lead the exploration of new technologies and tools to create innovative data-driven insights at an agile pace.
- Skill Development: Support the development of advanced technical abilities within the Data and Analytics field to assist in data analytics projects.
- Reporting: Produce clear and concise reports and products that convey data analysis results in an easily understandable manner
- Documentation: Ability to create clear, concise, and organized technical and procedural documents including data cleaning, modeling, and analysis workflows
- SharePoint: Hand-on experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining SharePoint Site(s), pages, lists, libraries, and complex workflows
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field).
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and visualization.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data cleaning and preprocessing techniques.
- Familiarity with database management and SQL
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as a SharePoint Developer.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience using Microsoft Power Platform building PowerApps, PowerBI dashboards.
