Job Overview:
Sure Secure Solutions is seeking a Video Workflow Automation Engineer to support the Video Services team. This Software Engineer III position focuses on the development and optimization of scalable, automated video distribution workflows across cloud environments. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with video processing tools and strong programming skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software for video distribution automation including encoding, transcoding, packaging, and delivery.
- Implement background processing systems and automation frameworks to eliminate manual tasks.
- Optimize performance to accelerate video delivery timelines and reduce latency
- Integrate workflows with external platforms like CMS, CDNs, and analytics solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to video distribution and automation.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of software development experience focused on video workflow automation.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++.
- Proficiency with video encoding/transcoding (e.g., FFmpeg, x264, H.265).
- Familiarity with streaming protocols like HLS and DASH.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within collaborative teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and their APIs.
- Familiarity with video analytics tools.
- Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Scripting skills using Bash or PowerShell.
